I've just come back from a cruise on luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises on their ship the Seven Seas Explorer (SS Explorer). On this ship each cabin is considered a suite and I was in a deluxe veranda suite #968 which was right at the back stern of the ship with a great view of the ship's wake from the balcony - I was sailing on a cruise from Australia to New Zealand. This video is a review of that cabin offering a full cabin tour and inside look of cabin no 968 on deck 9. This video takes a look at all aspects of this cabin (which is one of the cheapest on board) from the bedroom to the lounge, bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The beds are phenomenal and specially made for the cruise line and what I particularly love is the curtain (a fantastic design feature) which divides the bedroom area from the lounge - you can turn it into two separate spaces. All suites come with a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket. The mini bar is also always fully stocked and your steward tops it up regularly. I test out the sofa bed as well as the actual bed. I also really love the walk-in wardrobe. The whole cabin has excellent mirrors and storage/hanging space with a great selection of different hangars too. I also discuss how laundry is free on board for all guests - this is a phenomenal perk. The bathroom is lovely too, with a large walk-in rain shower and wonderful toiletries, my favourite upmarket French brand called l'Occitane. It's rare to have a cabin which is literally at the stern of the ship and the view really is amazing - plus the positioning of this cabin means that the balcony is deeper than normal. Be aware though that you can feel extra motion on the ship at the ends of it and that applies to this cabin. Do NOT book this cabin if you're prone to sea sickness and sailing on an itinerary known for and prone to rougher seas.....
