The celebrations continue to come, and we are here for them! Recently, Greg Purdy, SVP Marine Operations and Sean Treacy, SVP of Hotel Operations honored us by cutting the ribbon at the highly anticipated ceremony. This ceremony marked the debut of the first crew neighborhood in our fleet. The celebration marked a significant event for our brand and our crew. The neighborhood, consisting of 12 spaces, has become a cherished home away from home for our valued crew. It is a reflection of years of research, trial and error, and thousands of feedback from none other than the crew who live and breathe this space every day. The crew neighborhood on Icon is another example of the remarkable work that thousands of team members have contributed to over the years. Onboard and shoreside leaders cheered alongside crew members as the giant ceremonial scissors were held to announce the official opening of the crew neighborhood. The commitment is to enhance the crew experience and make it not just the best family vacation on Icon but also the best crew experience. 12 spaces make up the crew neighborhood, and they are meant to provide the crew with fun, relaxation, physical and mental fitness, and more. These include Windjammer, Clubhouse, Karaoke & Disco, Pub, Gaming Room, Market, Barber Shop, Training Room, Gym, Break Room, Changing Room, and Crew Cabins. Following the ceremony, a tour of the crew neighborhood was provided by Robert Hines, HR Manager and Michael Szwajkowski, Cruise Director.
