While cruises were stalled for Covid, we decided to try an all-inclusive resort. After quite a bit of online research, we settled on RIU Palace Riviera Maya, south of Cancun, Mexico about an hour. It was an AWESOME trip, great accommodations, great staff, excellent covid protocols, outstanding service, above-average food, and excellent atmosphere! If interested in food offerings (allergies, vegetarian offerings, etc), there are detailed viewings of the breakfast and dinner buffet. You can also see tours of the pools, the beach, and Playacar Plaza, a shopping area down the street from the resort.
