YouTube Video Description

In this video, we walk you through the entire disembarkation process on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas in Seattle and share real-world tips to help you get off the ship faster and stress-free. The ship docked in Seattle around 5:00 AM, and disembarkation officially began around 6:45 AM. We break down the three main ways to disembark: 1️⃣ Self-Assist (Carry Your Own Luggage) This is the fastest way off the ship. You keep your luggage with you, don’t put anything outside your stateroom the night before, and you can exit anytime once disembarkation starts—as long as you can carry your bags yourself. 2️⃣ Traditional Luggage Tag Method You place your luggage outside your stateroom the night before with numbered tags. The next morning, you enjoy breakfast and wait until your luggage number is called. Our assigned group was in the 70s, with an estimated exit time around 9:20–9:30 AM. 3️⃣ Royal Caribbean Valet Luggage Service With select airlines, Royal Caribbean takes your luggage directly from the ship and transfers it to your airline. You don’t see your bags again until your arrival airport, making travel day even easier. We chose self-assist and stayed in our stateroom until around 8:00 AM, which is when Royal Caribbean strongly recommends vacating your room. We carried our luggage to the aft of the ship and waited in Two70 Lounge, where the café was open until 8:30 AM. We grabbed breakfast wraps, bagels, sandwiches, and juices before heading out. ⏱ Our exact timing: • Left the lounge at 9:34 AM • Outside the ship by 9:39 AM That’s one of the fastest disembarkations we’ve ever experienced. We also walk you step-by-step through what happens after you exit the ship, including the 7–12 minute walk to the rideshare pickup area, depending on your pace. If you’re cruising into Seattle on Quantum of the Seas, this video will help you decide which disembarkation method is best for you, how long the process really takes, and how to plan your travel day without stress.
