Star of the Seas Review (2025): What We Loved, Didn’t Love & Hated
Source: Our analysis of the creator's lived experience, based on what they said in this video.
Creator's Key Takeaways
We were on here for a four night showcase sailing so that we could capture everything about the food, the drinks, and the entertainment.
I give it a five ship rating. I loved my time.
We hated that casino. It is a massive casino, but for some reason on the 4-day sailing, it was packed with people.
I hated it too cuz I know I know exactly what you're going to say. But it was a four night cruise and it ended so quickly.

We sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas and here’s our honest review of the newest Icon Class mega ship. In this video, we break down exactly what we loved, didn’t love, and hated, from food and drinks to entertainment, crowds, and cruise tips you need to know before you sail. Looking for a full ship tour? Check out our Star of the Seas Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzjdnP6ox56_uGS5dUd64kIbilIZ6va2Q Whether you're planning a Royal Caribbean cruise or comparing Icon Class ships like Icon of the Seas, this review will help you decide if Star of the Seas is worth it. What We Loved: 🍴 Food – authentic Indian dishes in the Main Dining Room, El Loco Fresh tacos, AquaDome Market, and late-night Sorrento’s pizza 🍹 Drinks – $6 margaritas during Happy Hour, unique bar menus, and plenty of water/juice stations 🎭 Entertainment – shows like Torque (aqua show with motorcycles!), Sol on ice, and Back to the Future: The Musical 🎨 Design – The Pearl, Central Park, The Hideaway infinity pool, and tons of lounge space What We Didn’t Love: 🚬 Smoky hallways near crew areas 👥 Crowds in adults-only spaces and at Perfect Day at CocoCay 💸 Pricey drink packages ($120/day if purchased onboard!) 🎹 Popular venues like Dueling Pianos were far too small What We Hated: 🎰 A smoky, packed casino 🥴 Chaos in the Windjammer Buffet on embarkation day 🔒 Everything booking up too quickly (reserve shows and activities before you sail!) 🚪 Loud stateroom doors and clunky storage baskets Final Thoughts: Star of the Seas is the largest cruise ships in the world and part of Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class. While we only had 4 days onboard during a showcase sailing, it’s clear this ship deserves a full week (or longer) to experience everything.
