The 'BATH SPA EXPRESS' with No.4492 "Dominion of New Zealand" - 31/08/2011

The third of the 'Torbay Express Ltd.'s 'Bath Spa Express' excursions from Poole to Bath and Bristol on Wednesday 31st August 2011. With BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia" having worked the first two, it was now the turn of LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.60019 "Bittern" (running as No.4492 "Dominion of New Zealand") to work the third and fourth runs. In this video, we do a spot of chasing the train. First we see "Dominion of New Zealand" passing through Totton with the outward run. Then later, we move up to Salisbury where the train arrives for a water stop on its return from Bristol and Bath. The main reason for going to Salisbury was that two minutes before "DoNZ" arrived, "Britannia" had also been in the same platform and had already departed to allow "DoNZ" to arrive (see seperate video). We leave Salisbury ahead of "DoNZ" and travel to Romsey to see it pass through there before finally returning to Totton in time to see it pass through there, too.
