The Emerald Mine Walk Thru at Caragena, Columbia Cruise Port

At the cruise port in Cartagena, Columbia, there is a nice area called Port Oasis which is full of different birds, animals, monkeys, even a sloth or two that is free to visit. You can actually spend quite a bit of time just wandering around this area checking out the different animals, then go grab some souveniers or a cup of Columbian coffee. All of the animal exhibits are free! But there is one "hidden gem" that isn't - it's the "Emerald Mine" and to enter you have to give a donation of at least $1.
