The Railway Touring Company's rescheduled The 'ROYAL WESSEX' excursion from Three Bridges to Weymouth ran on Saturday 12th November 2016. The original motive power for this train was BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70013 "Oliver Cromwell", but preparations for its return to the National Network still aren't complete so it was replaced by Icons of Steam's SR rebuilt 'West Country'-class 4-6-2 No.34046 "Braunton", which is still running as scrapped 'Battle of Britain' classmate No.34052 "Lord Dowding". As "Braunton" was only operating the outward leg of the excursion, this is just a one-shot video with the excursion passing through a slightly rainy Totton station.
