YouTube Video Description↓

Here is the ultimate 1 day tour in beautiful Rome 2024. If you only have a short time in Rome, here is the best way to make the day count. In this video I will discuss a route that will help you see all of the main tourist attractions, and a couple extras, within an 8-9 hour day. So if you are flying in for the day, only have a day off a cruise ship, or just want to maximize your time throughout Italy, here is the perfect day in Italy. Start off at the Vatican, be early, like no later than 8 am early. You can climb the dome at St. Peters Basilica, if you dare, then come inside and view the crypts of famous popes, royalty and more. The adornment around the Basilica will impress anyone. Do not forget to look up! Once you are done inside, go downstairs into the crypts. When you finish down in the crypts, visit the Sistine Chapel. Once you are complete with the Vatican, hop on the A Line at the Ottaviano metro station just a few minutes from the Vatican and head to Spagna station where you will be a very short walk from the Spanish Steps. To see more of the Spanish Steps, make sure you check out my video on the Spanish Steps. Here is a link to a live camera at the steps https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/chiesa-trinita-dei-monti.html After viewing the steps, make your way to Trevi Fountain. This is the largest fountain of its kind in the world. Be prepared, you will not be alone. Here is a link so you can view the live camera.https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/fontana-di-trevi.html When your time is done at the fountain, a short distance away you will find the famous Pantheon. The Pantheon is a majestic wonder and is one of the only remaining anchient temples still in existence today. Here is a link to the live camera https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/pantheon.html Once you pick your jaw up from the ground from amazment, you will next make your way to the Piazza Navona which used to be a circus where chariots were raced. Today it is home to artists, cafes and restaraunts and souviner shops, but the beauty is still stunning. Here is a link to the live web cam for it https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/piazza-navona-roma.html After grabbing a bite to eat at the Piazza Novona head to the Victor Emmanuel II Monument. This gigantic monument celebrates the 50th anniversary of Italy being a country. You can see the live camera here https://www.whatsupcams.com/en/webcams/italy/latium/rome/rome-livecam-vittoriano-webcam-altare-della-patria/ As we near the last few stops along our tour, make sure you take in the ambiance of the city. The architecture, lighting, sounds, and smells, everything that is Roma. The next destination is the Roman Forum, this parcel of land is home to numerous ruins, Ceasars Burial Grounds, and so much more. Last but not least, the Colosseum. This iconic world structure was home to some of the most violent acts, stunning shows, and is still an architectual marvel 2000 years later. Here you can end your journey and walk across the street to the Coloseo Metro Station and return to your hotel to enjoy some much needed time off of your feet. Here is the live webcam link for the Colosseum https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/italia/lazio/roma/roma-colosseo.html Please note, I am not in control of the webcams, they are linked to a reputable company that has live webcams at important locations around the world.
