TUGS NEEDED FOR 4 OF 5 CRUISE SHIP DEPARTURES SOUTHAMPTON 14/06/25

Five Cruise Ship departures from Southampton 14th June 2025 with 4 cruise ships needing tug assistance due to high winds. The MSC Cruise Ship 'MSC Virtuosa' got underway from the Horizon Cruise Terminal just before 16:00pm for Lerwick Shetland Isles. Next to depart from the QEII Cruise Terminal was the Princess Cruise Ship the 'Regal Princess' just before 16:30pm with tug assistance for Cobh Ireland. A little while later the P&O Cruises 'Iona' got underway with tug assistance from the Ocean Cruise Terminal at about 17:30pm for Stavanger Norway. She was followed out by her fleetmate the 'Ventura' from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal also about 17:30pm she also needed tug assistance she is off to Funchal Madeira. Last cruise ship to make her departure was the Silversea Cruise Ship the 'Silver Dawn' from the City Cruise Terminal about 19:00pm she also needed tug assistance & was off to Alesund Norway.
