The Turtle Reef exhibit at SeaWorld San Diego is open again! When indoor attractions reopened a few weeks ago, Turtle Reef was not one of them as it was down for refurb. On our most recent trip, Turtle Reef was open! We arrived to SeaWorld San Diego a little later in the day at 3:30 PM and stayed through close for fireworks. The boys enjoyed going on the Sea of Treats Candy Trail while looking at animals like the penguins and turtles along the way. We did get to go into Turtle Reef of course, and the line wasn't too bad. About 10-15 minutes. We unfortunately didn't get to go into Penguin Encounter or Shark Encounter due to the long lines. After eating at Shipwreck Reef Cafe and getting the Kickin' Fried Shrimp, we headed over to Wild Arctic and spent some time with the Walrus and Beluga Whale before going to the R is for Rescue show. R is for Rescue is a Sesame Street themed show featuring Elmo, Abby, and Big Bird. After that, we attended the Polynesian Fire Dance and watched the fireworks from Orca Amphitheater. We had a great day overall at SeaWorld San Diego in April 2021.
