We’re taking our first international cruise with Virgin Voyages and so excited! We are taking their Greek Isle Glow Itinerary which start and ends in Athens. We will be stopping in Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum (Turkey) and Mykonos. This is our first time in Greece and so excited. We just spent 2 days in Athens and now we’re boarding this 7-day cruise. Some differences we noticed from the start was the boarding process. We corral in a huge tented space to checkin and get our bands. Then go through security and head on ship from the bottom of the ship instead of on deck 7 like we do out of Miami. The Mermaid font on the front of each ship are all different. The color, finishings and art are different within each of the ships are also all different. Squid Ink and a few of the shops are in different spots. Other than that the ships are identical. Our room is the same as the other ones and we made sure it had a red hammock. Gretchen is getting a tattoo this time and we made sure to get her the time she wanted after having a blast at the sail away party. We then watched PERSEPHONE which is a must see show on this ship! It doesn’t matter if you like entertainment or not, you need to go. Finished off the night with Extra Virgin for dinner. It was good but wasn’t the best experience we’ve had with the food. We did try some different items so that could have also been it and we ate much later than normal. We did stop by the shops to do some window shopping before bed. They have some great deals at the start and end of the cruise so make sure you pop in.
