This is a short video about what you might do if Langkawi, Malaysia is a port stop on your cruise. We decided to just walk into the town. It was about 3 miles each way from the ship. We spent 3 - 4 hours ashore. Langkawi is a nice, tropical island. The people there were very friendly. We spent money on Drinks at a beach bar and some souvenirs. We decided to take cab back to the ship when we found out it was only $3 US. When we left the ship the cab drivers wanted $12.50 US to take us to town. We were planning on walking the whole time. We've noticed that quite often it is cheaper to return to a ship than to leave the port. We did go into several stores to shop for souvenirs and buy water. We just didn't record the shopping. At Port Monkeys we sometimes just walk around in a port. Other times we purchase a ship sponsored shore excursion or a purchase a tour from a third party tour on shore. We hope you enjoy the videos and your next cruise. Please Subscribe to our channel, Port Monkeys.
