About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
We are in Nassau, Bahamas for the first time and we are freestyling! We love to wander and explore on our own the first time in a new port. After a bit of online research, the only place we knew we wanted to go for sure is Junkanoo Beach, so that is our first stop. It is a short walk to the beach β which is a free public beach β just a few blocks from the port. This beach is great as it is large and has a beautiful viewβ¦ and the front end view of all of those cruise ships isnβt bad either! Unfortunately for us, it was way too windy and a bit chilly so we did not swim. In fact, we were only two of four people total at this beach with four cruise ships in port! We were very surprised by this as we still enjoyed a stroll on the beach and a quick dip of at least our feet in the water. Time to walk and explore some more! We find a street full of activity and local craftsmanship. All in one spot is a winery, a chocolate factory, and a cigar factoryβ¦ so of course, we had to sample them all! The most interesting was the cigar factory where we were able to watch the entire rolling process. And Jason had to buy one to test which he really enjoyed. And what a beautiful area!!
