We chose the WORST RATED Royal Caribbean ship - Are We MAD?
Source: Our analysis of the creator's lived experience, based on what they said in this video.
Creator's Key Takeaways
We'd heard lots of stories about this being Royal Caribbean's worst ship, but we wanted to try a Far Eastern Cruise from Shanghai.
Spectrum of the Seas is aimed at the Chinese market, so see how we fared on this, only our 2nd ever proper cruise.
Our first was on MSC Euribia from Southampton to Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge and Le Havre, so very different this time.
Did we enjoy it? Well watch the videos to find out.

If you are thinking about doing the same cruise, there's lots of helpful information in the videos. Spoiler alert - yes of course we enjoyed it, it's the nicest ship we've been on, the staff were superb and the food in the main restaurants was excellent. I didn't include it in the in-video comments, but the taxi to the terminal from the Indigo Hotel on the Bund was booked on Viator for Β£60.16 which we thought was OK. However, when we arrived in Shanghai, our taxi driver from the airport to the hotel said she would be much cheaper than Viator. We were too late to cancel our next day trip to the Cruise terminal, but cancelled the other trips we booked and saved a lot with Janice who was lovely, spoke good pretty good English, and even managed to register my drone for China for me. In contrast, the driver from the Indigo to the cruise terminal spoke to us not once the whole trip except to frantically ask us through his phone translator to get our tickets ready when we got close to the terminal - in fairness, he probably spoke no English so completely understandable. Janice charged us Β£27.55 for the return trip back to Shanghai.
