Yesterday was our 16th wedding anniversary, and we’re reminiscing not only on our wedding day, but also, the years and experiences in between. 6 years ago, we renewed our vows on our 10th anniversary… one of my favorite vacations to date. These photos recap the experience as simply as I can… from our pre-cruise photo shoot in our original wedding attire at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, to our vow renewal at sea aboard the Disney Fantasy, to a trash the dress session at Castaway Cay where we again wore our original wedding clothes. Plus, the cruise was followed by a couple days park-hopping at Walt Disney World! A simple vow renewal would’ve been fine, but of course, I love dreaming up and creating entire experiences and am so thankful for the family I have that runs with it every single time! The storyboard for this entire experience was (1) the fairytale of the original wedding so having Magic Kingdom to ourselves was perfect for this, then (2) the actual renewal of vows, then (3) a trash the dress session at Castaway Cay in our original wedding attire to symbolize washing away the old and continuing forward with the new. Wheels are already turning for what we’ll do for our 20th or 25th.
