Today we sail away from New York City's Manhattan Cruise Terminal as a major nor'easter storm passes through the area. We get an especially early start at 5am, and pass iconic landmarks The Statue of Liberty and The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge! The Norwegian Getaway cruise ship is rocking as it travels at top speed toward Bar Harbor, Maine. The motion sickness bags are on display near every staircase, and everyone is hanging on for dear life! Fortunately, we have strong constitutions and rarely get sea sick. Wish we could say the same for all our shipmates. Through all the rocking and rolling, we manage to have a fun day with our friends at some new bars and Getaway's premium steakhouse, Cagney's.
