Ad Antarctica Scenic Cruising, Whales Everywhere!, Schollart Channel & Paradise Harbour

Antarctica is simply breathtaking. During our scenic sailings on Celebrity Equinox we spent some unforgettable days cruising through some of the most spectacular waters on Earth. Part 2 coming soon. We sailed through the beautiful Schollart Channel, a narrow passage between Anvers Island and Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Towering glaciers, dramatic ice covered mountains and floating icebergs surrounded the ship as we slowly made our way through this stunning Antarctic landscape. Later we cruised into Paradise Harbour, one of the most famous and beautiful bays in Antarctica. The calm waters here perfectly reflect the enormous glaciers and jagged peaks that rise straight out of the sea, creating one of the most photogenic places on the entire continent. The wildlife was extraordinary. Whales were everywhere. We saw blows in every direction as humpback and minke whales surfaced all around the ship. It was absolutely incredible to witness so many whales in one place. Most of the day was spent outside on deck wrapped up warm, watching the scenery glide past and scanning the water for wildlife. We only headed back inside for meals and a little sleep before rushing back out again. Antarctica is impossible to fully describe. The scale, the silence, the wildlife and the sheer beauty are unlike anywhere else on Earth. Imagine Alaska, but on steroids. Truly one of the most incredible travel experiences you can have.
