In this video, I set my alarm for 3:00 AM and made my way to the Port of Miami to witness one of the most fascinating parts of cruise life—the return of the ships. While most people were still asleep, I was already on location, cameras ready, watching some of the world's most recognizable cruise ships sail back into port. Over the course of three hours, I documented the entire arrival process as ship after ship made its way through Government Cut and into the Port of Miami. It was an incredible experience seeing these massive vessels emerge from the darkness and arrive just before sunrise. Even before sunrise there were visitors scattered throughout the area, and shortly after the sun came up, the beach was buzzing with activity. I estimate there were close to 200 people enjoying the beautiful morning views and watching the ships arrive. As the darkness faded and the sky transformed with the colors of sunrise, it became clear why so many people make the trip to this location. Watching the ships return against the backdrop of a Miami sunrise was absolutely worth the early wake-up call.
