Originally the Carnival Spirit was to arrive in 2027, but in order to increase capacity, the decision was made to use the Sunshine instead. After repositioning from Norfolk, Virginia, the ship will be doing both Western and Southern Caribbean cruises. HUGE announcement coming from Royal Caribbean! One of the largest cruise ships in the world will be making her Texas debut in 2027. Icon of the Seas will be doing 6-8 night itineraries with the 8-day including a stop at Perfect Day at Coco Cay. This is a new treat for Galveston cruisers, as we don't normally get to stop at private islands. Last, we have MSC Cruises making its debut out of the newest cruise terminal (16).
