Boston has a fantastic food scene and is also a key part of American History. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile walk through Boston with many historic sights. In this video we combine the Boston Food Scene with the Freedom Trail. We start with the Old North Church with its famous bell tower where two lanterns were hung to show the British were arriving by sea. Galleria Umberto is part of Boston's "Holy Trinity of Pizza" and is our first food stop. We had the challenge to arrive when it opened at 11 because once they sell out of pizza they close. We then stop by the Paul Revere House, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market before our second food stop at The Black Rose Pub for Fish and Chips, Clam Chowder and a Guinness Beer. We then faced the rain and walked to the Old State House and the Old South Meeting Hall. Our next challenge was to get to Neptune Oyster before 5 to beat the crowd and have time to return to the ship. Neptune Oyster is fantastic with excellent oysters, clam chowder, and hot lobster rolls. We ended the tour with a visit to Modern Pastry at the recommendation of the locals at Neptune Oyster. Modern Pastry has excellent cannoli and they did not disappoint. We also talk about some optional sights such as the US Constitution and how the hours change from season to season We have been to over 45 countries and over 70 cruise ship ports of call.
