We traveled to Orlando by plane this time, and stayed at the Hilton the night before. We had a very easy and fast time embarking on the Carnival Mardi Gras! After sailing the Mardi Gras at the end of last year, it was fantastic to be back! After a quick balcony cabin tour, we met Carnival's brand ambassador, Mr. John Heald, not once but twice on embarkation day! So exciting to meet him! Our Port Canaveral sail-away was perfect, and always a fun time to grab a Carnival Funship drink and enjoy the sail-away! For Carnival's 50th birthday, we had a 50th birthday specialty drink, the Birthday-tini, which was a special martini with a 50th edible wafer on top! We also saw 50th birthday signs all over the ship, and even a 50th birthday cookie with our dessert! We had great food and drink in the Main Dining Room on embarkation day, and we reunited with old friends, the backyard band, AKD the Flamingos Bay Band from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Finally, for the first time ever, we were recognized as ARC Adventures!! It was immediately upon stepping out on the lido deck! So cool to be recognized by a very nice family, who are also vloggers.
