Ultimately it’s our responsibility to make sure we have all proper travel documents, and that they’re good…but as a well seasoned cruiser, even I made the mistake, so certainly newer cruisers could make the same or a similar mistake. There were other things that were misleading by Carnival, that led me to stay in Australia and get an emergency passport that I believed would allow me to board the ship two days later. I was denied once again.
