Carnival's BOLT - the first roller coaster at sea

Carnival Cruise Line has released additional details about BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea which will be aboard Mardi Gras when it goes into service in April 2020. BOLT was designed and built by Munich-based Maurer Rides. It will be all-electric with open motorcycle-like vehicles with two passengers. It will operate on an 800-foot track on the top decks of the ship 187 feet above the sea at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. Passengers will be able to control the speed so no two rides will be alike.
