"Celebrity Eclipse", "Crown Princess" & "Azura" depart from Southampton - 11/05/2013

A very windy, mixed weather afternoon in Southampton Docks for the departures of three cruise ships plus a car carrier. The first to depart was the Ro/Ro ship "Euphrates Highway" from Berth 44 at 16:15 heading for Galveston assisted out by tugs "Svitzer Sarah" & "Svitzer Surrey". Then at 16:30, Celebrity Cruises' "Celebrity Eclipse" began to pull away from the 'City' Terminal before heading off for Malaga. Princess Cruises' "Crown Princess" departed from the 'Mayflower' Terminal at 16:31 and had to turn in the Upper Swinging Ground before heading off for her first Port of Call at Barcelona. As she passed Town Quay, she saluted with her P&O Cruises' sistership "Azura" who was docked at the 'Ocean' Terminal. "Azura" then slipped her moorings at 17:03 and headed off for Madeira.
