Chichen Itza, El Castillo Vacation Slideshow

During a cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas, one of the Ports of Call was Cozumel, Mexico. They offered a Shore Excursion to Chichen Itza. Always wanted to see it, why not go?! It's a three hour ferry/bus ride to the site (each way!) from the Cruise Port, so if visiting by Cruise Ship, take note! But once there, it's an amazing sight to see these amazing ruins. Why the Mayans disappeared is still a mystery even to today! Chichen Itza was a large Pre-Columbian city built by the Mayan People of the Terminal Classic Period. The archaeological site is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State, Mexico. Enjoy the tour!
