Chichén Itzá (from port of Progreso, Yucatan)

We visited Chichén Itzá in Yucatán, México on September 6, 2022 on a shore excursion from Progresso while sailing on the Carnival Ecstasy. It was about a 2.25 hour bus ride each way and we had about 1.75 hours at the site. Chichén Itzá is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. It really was quite an amazing excursion. Chichén Itzá can also be visited from Cozumel, however it is an even longer day as it requires a ferry ride and then still over a 2 hour bus ride each way.
