Commercial Ships in Southampton Docks - 18/02/2013
YouTube Video Description↓
Something a bit different from the usual cruise ships that I film in Southampton Docks. This video focuses on some of the many commercial vessels that sail in and out of the port. In this video, filmed on the Town Quay, we see the following vessels in action... - Bulk carrier "Frigg" heading for some dredging works up in the western docks. - Red Funnel's "Red Jet 5" (which broke down on Saturday) is moved to the repair yard by tugs "Wyedawake" & "Wyepush". - Red Funnel's "Red Osprey" departs for East Cowes, Isle of Wight. - Tugs "Svitzer Bentley" & "Svitzer Bristol" head towards the container terminal to assist the departure of the "APL Qingdao". - RFA supply vessel "Hartland Point" departs from the Marchwood Military Base on a short sail down to Bravo Anchorage. Her sister "Anvil Point" sailed later on. - Red Funnel's "Red Jet 4" arrives from West Cowes followed by "Red Eagle" from East Cowes. - Hythe Ferry "Great Expectations" departs for Hythe whilst Red Funnel's "Red Jet 3" moves round to the pier. - Finally, "APL Qingdao" departs for Suez assisted by "Svitzer Bentley" & "Svitzer Bristol".
