Subscribe to the Eat Sleep Cruise YouTube Channel if you love to travel and cruise the world! https://www.youtube.com/c/EatSleepCruise1?sub_confirmation=1 U.S. cruisers now have some choices for cruising this summer with options in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda. Of course, there will be cruise ship changes due to COVID on these sailings. We revealed in our huge cruise update last week, that cruising has resumed in North America. But, before you pull out your credit card, you do need to know these cruises will be different. We cover what its like booking a cruise now, and 10 ways covid has changed cruising! If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! Yes, we are booked on a few of the first cruises to resume for U.S. travelers. Once cruising resumes, there will be several changes. Like many, we are very excited about this cruise restart. We have received a number of questions about what these new cruises will entail. So, we made this video to answer the question of what cruising will look like once it resumes in North America this summer. Yes, these cruises will look very different due to COVID. How Cruises Will Change Due to COVID-19 0:00 Introduction About Booking a Cruise Now 1:00 The Cruise Ships Restarting Cruises in North America in 2021 1:50 You Can Book a Cruise Now 2:15 Cruise Ship Homeports Cruise CHanges 2:40 Vaccines Will Be Required to Cruise 3:25 Passports Required 4:05 COVID-19 Tests Are Required to Cruise 4:40 Additional Health Forms Are Required 5:45 Assigned Embarkation Times 6:10 Face Masks are Required 6:30 Limited Shore Excursions 7:25 Modified Onboard Activities You can now book one of the first cruises open to U.S. travelers. Currently, three ocean cruise lines have announced they will resume cruises in North America starting in June. These include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Crystal Cruises. While you can book one of the first cruises to restart in 2021, do know that these cruise ships will not depart from U.S. ports. All of the ships announced for cruising to resume will homeport in other countries. These include St. Maarten, the Bahamas, and Bermuda. There have also been sailings announced in Europe that U.S. residents are allowed to book. Thus, since this cruise restart is not leaving from the U.S., cruisers will need to have a passport. This is another cruise change 2021. In addition, all the cruise lines that have made these announcements so far have also indicated that COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all adults. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises will allow children under the age of 18 to board with proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Each country has additional requirements of its own as well. All have some kind of mandatory health forms that need to be completed prior to arriving at the ship's homeport. These additional forms include proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test take prior to the date of arrival, health visas, and COVID insurance. Cruisers who book these trips will need to abide by strict protocols put forth by the cruise lines too, including assigned boarding times. While onboard, face masks will be required, and these initial cruises will also have social distancing and other safety measures to ensure a safe resumption of cruising. The cruise lines have announced that some activities will be modified to accommodate small groups, with venues also being redesigned to accommodate social distancing. Still, we expect that most of the cruise experience will only be slightly altered. Though, the cruise lines are restricting shore excursions. Guests will only be allowed ashore on cruise-sponsored excursions. This will allow the cruise lines to certify that tour operators are abiding by the company’s health and safety protocols, which are cruise changes 2021. So, even though there will be some changes, we can't wait to enjoy all the things we love about cruising. The food, entertainment, activities, destinations, and just being out to sea. ------READ MORE ABOUT BOOKING A CRUISE NOW ON THE BLOG ------ https://eatsleepcruise.com/when-will-we-actually-cruise-again-latest-updates-from-the-cruise-lines/ ------TRENDING VIDEOS FROM EAT SLEEP CRUISE------ Carnival Cruise Line Not Restarting Cruises Just Yet: https://youtu.be/-YJao1sMoV0 Latest Cruise Updates: https://youtu.be/2ZtNW9eahuA Top New Cruise Ships 2021: https://youtu.be/XtqW0X5GrGE Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to our channel above to get the latest cruise tips, cruise reviews, packing guides, port guides, travel tips, and more.
