"Costa Luminosa" visits Southampton after being diverted from Dover - 12/09/2011

The high winds that had affected cruise ships going in and out of Dover continued into the following week when a second 'Costa Cruises' ship was diverted into Southampton Docks on Monday 12th September 2011. The ship was M/S "Costa Luminosa" who arrived around mid-morning and docked at Berth 46/The 'Ocean' Cruise Terminal. She became the fourth large cruise ship to be docked in Southampton on this day. 'Celebrity Cruises' M/S "Celebrity Eclipse" and 'Cunard's RMS "Queen Mary 2" & M/S "Queen Elizabeth" had all arrived earlier in the day. Also in Southampton was the Paddle-Steamer "Waverley" who was in the middle of a series of cruises around the Solent and South Coast. The four ships were berthed at the following terminals... - RMS "Queen Mary 2" ('Cunard') at Berth 38/9/The 'Queen Elizabeth II' Terminal - M/S "Costa Luminosa" ('Costa Cruises') at Berth 46/The 'Ocean' Cruise Terminal - M/S "Celebrity Eclipse" ('Celebrity Cruises') at Berth 101/The 'City' Cruise Terminal - M/S "Queen Elizabeth" ('Cunard') at Berth 106/The 'Mayflower' Cruise Terminal
