"Costa Luminosa" visits Southampton after being diverted from Dover - 12/09/2011

The high winds that had affected cruise ships going in and out of Dover continued into the following week when a second 'Costa Cruises' ship was diverted into Southampton Docks on Monday 12th September 2011. The ship was M/S "Costa Luminosa" who arrived around mid-morning and docked at Berth 46/The 'Ocean' Cruise Terminal. She became the fourth large cruise ship to be docked in Southampton on this day. 'Celebrity Cruises' M/S "Celebrity Eclipse" and 'Cunard's RMS "Queen Mary 2" & M/S "Queen Elizabeth" had all arrived earlier in the day. Also in Southampton was the Paddle-Steamer "Waverley" who was in the middle of a series of cruises around the Solent and South Coast.
