#msc #msccruises #mscworldamerica #costamaya #cruisevlog #mayanruins Today we’re in Costa Maya, Mexico on our MSC World America cruise, and we’ve booked an independent tour with Toucan Tours to visit one of the closest Mayan temple sites to the port. It’s a fascinating look into the region’s history, and a great way to experience something beyond the cruise terminal. After exploring the ruins, the tour continued to Mahahual Beach for some relaxing time by the water. Our coach even broke down on the way, but a quick bus swap later and we were back on track, no stress and still plenty of time to return to the ship. Back in the port area, Ali was talked into a beauty‑shop face treatment, which dropped in price every time she said no… but don’t worry, she didn’t buy anything! Once onboard, we enjoyed a peaceful couple of hours in the Zen Area before the rain rolled in, and just in time to witness a classic pier runner moment as someone made a very late dash back to the ship, half an hour after last aboard time. She was lucky. Dinner tonight was in the specialty Greek restaurant Paxos, where we had a fantastic meal and were entertained on the World Promenade by live musicians and acrobats. The evening show was a brilliant tribute to Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, and as always, we finished the night in The Gin Project with a drink and a chat about the day. Tomorrow we’re off to Cozumel for another full day of fun on a Jeep Safari. We hope you’ll join us!
