Creator's Key Takeaways
I'm sailing in the Canary Islands on a brand new Canary Island Hopping cruise
there's only six cabins on the ship that have a balcony on Deck six so I'm feeling very lucky
the cabin feels really exotic the ship has sailed in Far Away lands apparently was made in Japan
the balcony is not big it's possibly the smallest balcony I've ever had on a cruise ship but it's big enough for a yoga mat

La Belle des Oceans is a new 130-passenger ship for the French boutique cruise line CroisiEurope, although it's not a new ship - it formerly belonged to Silversea, a very upmarket cruise line. There are only a half dozen or so cabins which have a balcony on this ship and I was very lucky to to be staying in one. It was cabin #606 which is on deck 6 (the ship only has seven decks in total) and this video offers an in depth cabin tour and inside look at my cabin. It takes a good look at the bed/mattress, the linen, the decor, the pictures on the wall as well as the desk area, lounge area (the lounge/sofa space is massive) and the vanity desk. Plus the MASSIVE chocolates which are left on the pillow. The balcony is small - possibly the smallest balcony I've ever had! - but it's nice to have some private outside space. I also look at storage space and cupboards as well as the bathroom and toiletries etc. NB the plug sockets were VERY unusual - watch on to find out why!
