Cruise Ships "Ventura"," Norwegian Jade"," QM2"," Britannia" Southampton departures 17/06/18

It was a very gloomy, damp and overcast sky with quite a breeze blowing when 4 cruise ships all departed from Southampton Docks today the 17th June 2018 they all sounded their horns in a spectacular display as each one departed from their cruise terminals. The cruise ships were P&O Cruises "Ventura", Norwegian Cruise Line "Norwegian Jade", Cunard "Queen Mary 2 & finally P&O Cruises "Britannia" there was also an appearance of the steamship "SS Shieldhall" which had also joined in when the cruise ships sailed close by. The first cruise ship to depart from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal just before 17:00pm was the P&O Cruises "Ventura" she was lead out from the docks under the guidance of the harbour masters launch. The "Ventura" is off for a 14 Night 15 day Cruise to Spain, France and Italy. Her first port of call on this cruise is Oporto in Portugal. Next ship to depart from the City Cruise Terminal at 17:33pm was the (NCL) ship "Norwegian Jade" and she is off for a 12 Night 13 day Cruise to North Cape in Norway. Her first port of call on this cruise is Haugesaund in Norway. The third in line to depart from the QEII Cruise Terminal at 17:50pm was the Cunard Ship "Queen Mary 2" she had to have a tug to help her away from the terminal due to the rough weather we were having. She is off for a 7 Night 8 day Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords (M822). Her first port of call on this cruise is Bergen in Norway. Then last of all was the P&O Cruise Ship "Britannia" from the Ocean Cruise Terminal at 18:15pm she is off for a 7 Night 8 day Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Her first port of call on this cruise is Stavanger in Norway. As she made her way past dockhead she was followed behind by the tall masted sailing ship "Lord Nelson" which belongs to the Jubilee Sailing Trust which provides sailing experiance for the able bodied and physically disabled. Three of these cruise ships were late in their departures.
