The Suez Canal is the shortest overseas link between the East and the West, connecting the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. It splits Egypt in half, with Sinai Peninsula in Asia and the rest of Egypt in Africa. We cruised up the Canal from the port of Suez in the Gulf of Suez in the south to the port of Port Said to the north on the Mediterranean. During the trip, we see different cities, The Suez Canal Bridge also called the Egyptian-Japanese bridge or Al Salam Bridge. We also sail past the longest swing bridge in the world, The El Ferdan Railway Bridge. Along the way, we see cargo ships and small fishing boats in the canal. It was a fabulous trip through one of the busiest and most important shipping lanes on the planet. #suez_canal #suezcanal #suez #portsaid #swingbridge #canal #travel #worldcruise #egypt Chapters 00:00 Introduction 00:19 The Gulf of Suez 01:19 Sunset over Egypt 02:09 Welcome to the Suez Canal 12:53 The El Ferdan Railway Bridge 15:29 The Suez Canal Bridge 16:56 Port Said 18:23 Leaving the Suez Canal
