http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com On Day 6 cruise section up the West Coast of Norway in January, the Midnatsol would dock at Hammerfest, the most northern town in the world. Wired from seeing the Northern Lights and dogsledding yesterday, I was up at 4:00a for the sail into Hammerfest. This area of Norway is known as Finnmark, once an important fishing and Arctic hunting settlement, with grave sites dating back to the Stone Age. Hurtigruten sister ships on their southbound return would pass occasionally, acknowledging each other with horns. What a great winter experience! Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like.
