Day 3 (yes I know I say day 4, I was wrong) of my cruise saw me taking a solo excursion planned by the cruise company. By solo, I mean as in not with my family, I wasn't totally alone. I was sharing a 4x4 with our guide and 3 other people. We drove 2-3 hours through the Madagascar country side. I didn't know much about this country, but I was pleasantly surprised by how lush and green it was. It's a beautiful landscape, although a very poor country with 75% of the population earning just £1.90 a day. This certainly gave me a lot to think about as we drove through the communities. I'll talk more on this tomorrow. The Tsingy Rouge is a stone formation of red laterite formed by erosion of the Irodo River in the region of Diana in northern Madagascar. It was discovered in the 1950s after landslides exposed the sandstone formations during slash-and-burn clearance.  The word "tsingy" is Malagasy for "where one can not walk barefoot".  Dress @rooh.collective I might have been called The lady in the dress, for a few days after 🤣 #dayoftravel #adayinthelife #cruisewithme #cruiselife #spendthedaywithme #traveladdict #southafricatravel #ncldawn #ncl #norwegiancruise #bucketlistcheck #bucketlist #travelvlog #wartsandall #traveljournal #indianocean #Madagascar #northmadagascar #tsingyrouge #letstravel
