If you're driving to the cruise port - Port Canaveral, regardless of your direction of travel, Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway is the only route you can take, and it's actually quite simple and easy. What's not so simple is that upon arriving at the cruise port, you have two parking options: parking in a parking garage or parking in an open-air parking lot. We saw several parking garages and decided to park there to protect our car from the elements. Unexpectedly, we spent 45 minutes driving around and waiting outside the parking lot, only to be told that the parking garages were full and no longer accepting cars. In the end, we reluctantly parked in the open-air parking lot. My experience is that you don't necessarily need to park in a parking garage; don't waste time searching and waiting for a parking space. The open-air parking lot is a perfectly good option, and you can use it with confidence.
