We have finally left Michigan after our very enjoyable trip through the state, and are now in Wisconsin. We are visiting some friends that live in Green Bay and the are showing us around Door County. First stop in the explorations is Cave Point! It is a beautiful county park that is within a state park... Lots of people are jumping off the rocks into Lake Michigan and the views are stunning here! What a great first view of the area! Stop #2 is in Sister Bay at an interesting restaurant with goats on the roof... well, unfortunately when we arrived the goats had gone in for the day, but we still had a great lunch and local brews. And we were introduced to deep-fried cheese curds... OMG!!! Stop #3 is Henderson's Dock - this is a famous place where graffiti is actually allowed and encouraged. The entire building, which is a historical building, is covered in signatures! Stop #4 is a winery! Well, it is a farm that makes wine too... and this place is all about the Cherry! Cherries are what Door County is known for and you can get every type of food and drink with cherries imaginable here! We did some shopping... and left with a freshly baked cherry pie (still warm!!), cherry salsa, chocolate-covered cherries and of course, cherry beer and cherry wine. This is Lautenbach's Orchard Country. Last stop... a brewery! One Barrell Brewery has a live band playing outside... and they are so good! We end our Door County adventure here.
