The Ring of Kerry in a Day If you drive the Ring of Kerry in a day, how much can you really see? Follow us on our road trip and see the top things to do in a day. The drive starts from Kenmare along the Ring of Kerry Road through Molls Gap bringing us out to one of the most photographed places in Ireland, Ladies View. From Ladies View, we drive down to the waters edge where the 3 lakes of Killarney start at the Upper Lake. There is short drive which then takes us to Torc Mountain and Torc Waterfall. From parking up, the wealk is only 200 meters to the waterfall which is 60 feet in height. If you are feeling energetic, you can then walk up the steps which take you up toward the top of the mountain. This can be a little strenuous though. From the waterfall, you can walk along the pathways toward Muckross Lake and Muckross House which is approximately 1.7km and should take you less than 20 minutes but there is the option to hire a horse and cart. The cost is 25 euros per person for a return journey to the house although there may be room to haggle the price slightly. Muckross House is a Victorian House but in the 19th Century and the grounds are spectacular. The house is now open to the public and entry is 9 Euros. There is also a nice restaurant whereby you can either sit inside or out and have a bite to eat. After lunch we set off driving around Killarney and headed for the Gap of Dunloe. This takes you onto a much smaller road and takes you into the Valley. The Gap of Dunloe is a scenic narrow mountain pass running north-south that separates the MacGillycuddy's Reeks mountain range in the west, from the Purple Mountain Group range in the east. This is a spectacular drive and one not to be missed. We drove back south toward Kenmare and spent around 6 hours on our trip but this included the hike up Torc Mountain and also a stop at Muckross House for lunch. Ideally we would have done a 2nd day to take in a few other sites but this gives us a reason to go back to further discover The Ring of Kerry. There is so much to see and do and we have shown you a glimmer of things but to take it all in and enjoy it, then you would need 2 or 3 days to explore. 00:00 - Intro 00:43 - Drive Through Molls Gap https://www.google.com/maps/search/molls+gap/@51.9385495,-9.668495,15z/data=!3m1!4b1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 01:27 - Ladies View with Drone Footage https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa3FpYk1xNC1EY096R3k3N1R0SHVVc1ZDdmg0UXxBQ3Jtc0trVVVheEJYbXVIT18yc29QaXQtMW5BcFRIQ1IwX3lPLVdmOXBxQXpLN3lBRTE3RmladndMTjNaUjdEN2ZwVFZUUzJYSjFjMXRacEkyN1dNQ19FNXQyT0QtSUFDS3lwRzVNNWFydHNpemI0YUFwMHhfcw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fgoo.gl%2Fmaps%2FNMbQbBLBK2kKRcbq6%3Fentry%3Dyt&v=30k_7GsT6ss 04:36 - Killarney Upper Lake https://www.google.com/maps/place/Upper+Lake,+Killarney/@51.9930782,-9.6026876,14z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x48453fbf50d296a1:0xe21c7dd8643c3071!8m2!3d51.9792723!4d-9.5996283!16s%2Fg%2F11ckxzx9lk?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 05:35 - Torc Waterfall https://www.google.com/maps/place/Torc+Waterfall/@51.9567987,-9.475648,11z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x48453dd8e82e7d45:0x7c316a7b5eb7f96a!8m2!3d52.0033672!4d-9.5058068!16s%2Fm%2F03c44m2?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 07:48 - Torc Mountain 08:01 - Muckross House https://www.google.com/maps/place/Muckross+House/@52.0189807,-9.5087063,13z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x48453dd37e645743:0x97b53fbc1b13e3a7!8m2!3d52.0180696!4d-9.5041358!16zL20vMDUyMXIy?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 08:20 - Horse & Cart 10:44 - Gap of Dunloe Drive https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gap+of+Dunloe/@52.0326418,-9.6892949,12z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x484540846d153e75:0x50f0e84a9bd81223!8m2!3d52.0166667!4d-9.6333333!16zL20vMGdmbTNi?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 12:05 - Gap of Dunloe Drone Shots 15:36 - Bay Walk https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kenmare+Bay/@51.8474062,-9.7457163,12z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x48456c3a9dab625d:0xbb930b2e4649998e!8m2!3d51.8494011!4d-9.7020024!16s%2Fg%2F121jcjqz?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D 17:26 - Boat Trip Insta 360 18:03 - Outro Follow us on social media: https://www.instagram.com/cruiselife22 https://www.tiktok.com/@itsacruiselife
