Carnival Mardi Gras Thank you for joining us (Curt & Marsha) with @CMETraveling Terminal & Arrival Location: Carnival Mardi Gras primarily uses Cruise Terminal 3 (CT3) at Port Canaveral. It is a state-of-the-art terminal specifically designed for the Excel-class ships. Arrival Appointments: Stick to your selected window. If you arrive early, you will likely be asked to wait in a designated outdoor area until your group is called. Porters: Drop your large checked bags with the porters at the curb before entering. Have a few small bills ready for tipping. Security & Documents: The "Sniff" Test: Port Canaveral is known for having drug-sniffing dogs active in the terminal area.Screening: You’ll go through an airport-style metal detector and X-ray for your carry-on bags. Documents: Keep your Boarding Pass and Passport/ID in your hand (not in your checked luggage!). You will show these multiple times before stepping onto the gangway. First Steps On Board: The "e-Muster" Drill: This is the most important first task. As soon as you board, the Carnival HUB app will prompt you to go to your Muster Station (found on your boarding pass). A crew member will scan your pass and show you how to wear a life jacket. It takes 2 minutes and saves you from being "that person" called over the PA later. Stateroom Access: Cabins are typically ready by 1:30 PM. If you have Faster to the Fun or Diamond/Platinum status, you may be able to drop your bags off early, but the room itself won't be ready for lounging until the afternoon. The HUB App: Make sure you've downloaded it before you arrive.
