When you last saw us, we were exploring the Disney Wonder. Next up on our tour was exploring the Oceaneer's club and lab and those awesome hand washers (among other things). It was then time for our first scheduled activity, Champagne tasting in Cadillac Lounge. Next, we had to head to the dreaded Muster drill (don't worry, it really wasn't that bad) before we ran upstairs to get a spot for the Sail-A-Wave Party on decks 9 and 10. While the party was the same, the views were unbeatable, sailing under Lion's Gate bridge and the surrounding mountains were awe-inspiring. After spending some time enjoying the views, we headed back to our room, where it was time to start unpacking for the week and to get changed for the evening ahead. Our next stop was the gift shops to see what was available for Alaskan merchandise. Now, we had seen other videos and read about the chaos that ensues the first night in the gift shops, but oh my, it was a whole other thing to experience. As we were on the final Alaska cruise of the season, there were several things that had already sold out (no Minnie plush for Kari), but at least we got the Christmas ornament! We were possibly going to miss our Palo experience, but thankfully an amazing crew member was nice enough to put our things on hold so we could purchase them later. Our next experience on the Wonder was a new one to us, we were lucky enough to experience Prima Notte in Palo. Prima Notte or "first night" is a newer experience where Italian wines are paired with small bites from Palo's kitchen. It was an amazing experience, and everything tasted amazing. It was then time to head down to our first of the 3 rotational dining restaurants for dinner, Animator's Palate. We were happy to see the animation show again, as it was not offered on our last Wonder cruise and ending the dinner with Mickey and the dining team parading around the dining room was the perfect ending! To round out our evening, we headed to our first of many trips to Azure. First up was the game "Wonderquest", we played a couple of rounds but decided to become spectators instead. Our final event of the night was watching the dueling pianos, this was a lot of fun and the sisters performing were incredibly talented! It was off to bed, hard to believe that our first day was already over, but we have so much more to come!
