Exploring VICTORIA CANADA - Tea at the Empress [Fairmont Hotel] - Royal Caribbean is an excursion that we do on our own for our cruise port stop in Victoria Canada. We are on the OVATION OF THE SEAS and decide to have an afternoon tea time at the famous Empress Tea Room located in the downtown area of Victoria Canada. We have always wanted to do this tea, so I made reservations on open table. (opentable.com). https://www.teaattheempress.com/ The tea costs roughly $89 US Dollars per person. The children menu is $45 per child. It is a choice of tea, and the 3 tiered tray of various finger sandwiches, desserts and scones. It is delicious and quite a special treat, considering this place has been doing tea time for over 100 years and has served many dignitaries and special people during that time! I am glad I had a reservation, you definitely need one. I know there were shore excursions that visited here, but for me, I would like to concentrate on the downtown area, the wharf and some light shopping for my day in Victoria. It is a beautiful city with lots to of walking and places to discover. The cruise ship area does have a $13 round trip bus that drops off downtown and brings you back whenever you would like. You can also rent a bike, take a taxi or just walk! The tea was a good experience, it takes a total of about 2 hours from beginning to end. Bring your conversations to this event, it is about just relaxing and talking! Lots of people seem to gather here to get caught up with their friends and family members!
