The Costa Maya Village near the cruise terminal has colorful shops, local restaurants and huge pool with a swim up bar all free to use. So if you stay in the village you will have plenty to see and do. We took a taxi to Krazy Lobster which is about a 15min ride. The beach was nice and the locals were friendly, and best of all there were plenty of free things to do.
