This primary trailhead was developed to provide access to the I-75 Landbridge. The structure, which is 52 feet wide by 200 feet long, follows a natural ridge over 100 feet in elevation to minimize ecological damage. The planters on both sides of the bridge are vegetated with plants native to the surrounding area. The walls were built from local fieldstone. The trailhead is located approximately 1.4 miles east of the Landbridge off County Road 475A and is accessible from I-75 from the County Road 484 exit. Facilities include restrooms with potable water and a beautiful shaded picnic area along with equine, hiking and natural surface bike trails. #touristvlog #gopro #mountainbike #landbridge #ocala #florida #floridatravel Chapters: 0:00 - GoPro on the handlebars 0:06 - Opening Titles 0:55 - Introduction 1:17 - The Cross Florida Greenway 2:48 - Land Bridge is 2.5 Miles from 49th Ave Trailhead 5:04 - Originally built as Cross Florida Barge Canal 6:10 - A 172 Mile Shortcut for Barges 6:21 - Started construction in 1935 6:41 - Resumed construction in 1943 6:47 - Resumed again in 1963 7:12 - 1/3rd Of canal was completed 8:17 - Astute comment on its failure 8:42 - Marjorie Harris Carr is overrated 9:39 - Not going to talk through the entire video 10:24 - Elevation changes 12:18 - Park benches & restrooms 14:02 - Wooded areas and shade 15:34 - High bear activity in area 16:36 - The Land Bridge 19:11 - Land Bridge designed by EPA for wildlife 19:51 - It's all downhill from here! 20:22 - Posted speed limits for bikes, yeah okay. 22:40 - Very scenic bike trail 23:29 - My favorite bike path in Ocala 23:40 - Baseline Trail is too crowded IMO 25:28 - 49th Avenue Trailhead located in Marion Oaks 27:00 - Humidity on the Camera
