Grandeur of the Seas: Labadee, Haiti (Arrival & Departure with Explorer of the Seas)

On January 18th, 2014 the Grandeur of the Seas made her way to the final port of call on a ten night Western Caribbean sailing, Labadee. Located on a peninsula in the country of Haiti Royal Caribbean's private resort of Labadee has been undergoing a large reinvention over the past decade. The biggest change is a new pier built for the Oasis class ships that now allows for two ships to be in Labadee at once. On this day the Explorer of the Seas arrived at 8:00am with the Grandeur getting in at 9:30am. The Explorer then departed at 4:00pm. After attempting to insight a horn battle with the Grandeur upon her initial departure from the pier she eventually tried again as she started making her way out to sea, and this time the Grandeur responded. Shortly after bidding a farewell to the Explorer the Grandeur then followed her out to sea at 5:00pm as both headed back to the north east.
