In December 1963 the gleaming new cruise ship Lakonia set out from Southampton on a Christmas cruise for over 600 excited passengers to escape the dreary British Winter. Unbeknownst to them the ship was experiencing electrical problems and only three days into their voyage a deadly fire was sparked which raged out of control.
