My daughter and I arrived in Paris for 3 days and knew Versailles was on our bucket list in addition to the Paris sights. Even though the outside Paris day trip proved to be challenging with transportation problems and crowds, The Palace of Versailles is an ideal day trip from Paris because you can take a train easily from there.
