I can't believe what happened in San Juan on the Carnival Mardi Gras for my fourth solo cruise. I have never seen anything like this in my 12 cruises, but I'm glad I was there to see it this time. Our walking tour of Old San Juan continues as the Carnival Mardi Gras makes her first port call ever in Puerto Rico. I check out Save A Gato, the cat sanctuary in San Juan, before visiting El Morro and San Cristobal, the two forts in San Juan. We also catch awesome views of the Mardi Gras in port as I give a tour of the city before heading back to the ship. Back onboard, I walkthrough the ship to dinner at Cucina del Capitano, the Italian restaurant onboard the Mardi Gras, for a full dinner review. This restaurant was complimentary. The Carnival Mardi Gras was the first ship to sail from Port Canaveral in over 15 months. The Mardi Gras is the brand new ship from Carnival Cruise Line, the first of its Excel Class of ships.
