The day before my cruise on American Harmony, I managed to be a complete failure as a drone pilot... crashing my drone in to a tree that stands next to the pier where American Harmony was docked in Clarkston, Washington. Imagine what a big idiot I felt like as I crashed the drone before the cruise had even begun! I got extremely lucky, though. The drone landed on the pier, not in the water... and only suffered a few scrapes. It was fully airworthy after the crash, and I flew it many times during the following week as we cruised on the Snake River and the Columbia River through Washington and Oregon. This video serves as a bit of a prequel to four more videos about our cruise on American Harmony... which should be coming to my YouTube channel over the next month or so.
