About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Description↓
In this video, I look back over how my wife and I spent 2023... including cruise ship vacations... life with our Cocker Spaniel, Carli... our comfortable life in our dream house in Washington state... the declining popularity of my YouTube channel... and my plans for my YouTube channel in 2024. The first cruise that Kellyn and I did together this year was on Celebrity Solstice. This was our very first cruise with Celebrity after about 60 cruises with other cruise lines. Later in the year, we cruised together again with American Cruise Lines on the rivers of Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. There were three other cruises that I went on this year which my wife elected not to go on. All three were with American Cruise Lines, who like to invite me to cruise at their expense so that they can get the good publicity from the YouTube videos I make about the cruises. I also give you a look at Kellyn's giant 400-square-foot craft room... where she likes to spend her free time making quilts, doing embroidery, sewing, and other creative hobbies. I also share a few cute video clips of our Cocker Spaniel, Carli... one of the best Cockers I've had in a long string of Cocker Spaniels going back to the 1960s. There's also a look at our 1/2 acre property on which I've planted lots of Maple trees and fruit trees... and my raised bed garden which features lots of flowers and vegetables. I share with you a review of the state of my YouTube channel... where the number of views in 2023 were 81% lower this year than at the peak of my channel's popularity in 2018. With that in mind, I also announce that I'll be posting less frequently in 2024 and that the mix will lean more heavily towards travel videos than model train videos... since the model train videos are much harder to make and physically painful for me due to a pinched nerve in my lower back.
